Anzac and Easter

For Easter we drew different patterns on a bunny outline. What amazing detail Molly!
For Anzac we constructed a poppy and glued it in the corner of our poem.
We illustrated a paper bag to take home our baking in.

Mrs McElwee helped us measure out the ingredients in the morning. Here we are rolling and flattening our Anzac Biscuits. A big thank-you to Beth who took our cookies home to bake and package after discovering the oven no longer worked. They tasted delicious!!!

Nature Scavenger Hunt

Here is the list of things to find and the cup to put them into
                                                        Finding three blades of grass
                                                            Finding a purple flower
                                                            Finding a glossy leaf
About to find a white stone or a smooth grey stone
The only pair to find a snail's shell and the snail was still inside.

On Friday after morning tea, in the beautiful weather, we had an outside Challenge. It was a Nature Scavenger Hunt. It was a fun, non academic activity. We had to find things like a sprinkle of sand and a small stick. It was a great thing to do on a gorgeous sunny day!

Friday Challenge - working with ice.

On Friday Mrs Dijkstra gave us a challenge. We were given a cup of frozen water that had a key in it. Our challenge was to bring the key to Mrs Dijkstra and to complete the sentence " This is the key to......" Most of Room 24 smashed the ice by dropping it on the ground but some melted it using water from the tap. It was COOL!
